This presentation is delivered in a variety of styles, sometimes as a presentation of ideas and resources and sometimes as a BloggerCon/unconference style of interactive event. Here are a list of topics that are fequently included, but this is by no means a limiting list.

  • What is Web 2.0?
Web 2.0 encompasses a family of web applications that make the web more participatory in nature.
EX: Blogs, wikis, RSS aggregators, social bookmarks, social media
Information Changes
  1. Content increasingly comes from conversation
  2. Content is organized & enhanced by its readers
  3. People increasingly connect with each other through their content -- through their ideas
  • Tagging Blogs
Tagging content is a way of adding metadata (information about the information) to a piece of content. It is a way of informally categorizing information. It's chief advantage is that a single piece of information can be tagged into a number of categories.
Tagging blogs makes it easy for blogs on a certain topics to be groups with other similar blogs. For instance, if you go to Technorati, and add to the url ../tag/education, you will be able to see all recent blog entries that are tagged with education.
Tagging can be complicated, depending on the blogging tools you are using. Here is a web tool that can help you to tag your blogs -- Blog Tag Generator.
  • About Aggregators
An Aggregator is a software applications or web service that allows its owner to subscribe to RSS syndicated content, including blogs, wikis, social bookmarks, social media, Google News Search, and a variety of other regularly updated online information.
