An Educator Mashup

One of the best things about Web 2.0 is that it is, as much as anything else, a platform. It is Small Pieces Loosely Joined, and those pieces are available to anyone with a little skill and a lot of imagination. They have errupted into amazing open source applications, which are then taken on by other creative people and made even more useful and interesting. It's turned into mashup web applications that collect data from other web sites, remix the date to add value and make it more interesting. There is an emerging layer of content gathering on the Internet that can best be called conversation, because it is people, like you and me, observing their experience, reflecting on that experience, reporting what they know, think, and believe, and then engaging in conversations with other Web 2.0 contributors to create content that will be necessary in a time of rapid change -- a time of brand new questions and brand new problems.

This is the first of what I hope will be many Educator Mashups, sharing and mixing of the best tools for teaching, learning, and just making life more interesting.
