WOW~
I'm an elementary technology coordinator for a small PA school discrict. In my small pond of a school, I know that I have more tech knowledge than the classroom teachers. And - I can barely keep up with the way new tech terms and strategies pop up. After listening to the keynote, I am even more charged up to learn all the new things and try to use them in classrooms.
Since I'm not in the classroom anymore, I'm striving to collaborate with one teacher in every elementary building to do the things that David talked about. I'm eager to take the kids on sidetrips to learn alot of the same material, but in new ways. Ways that will mean more to them. But, that means I'll only reach a few classrooms and that makes me feel worried for all the rest. I've decided to continue feeling excited and make a big effort to introduce as many teachers as I can to one thing that's new to THEM. They'll pass that on to their classrooms and hopefully the positive reaction from students will impress them enough that they find out one more thing, and then one more thing, and on and on.
My fingers are crossed!
