I'm a beginning teacher from Brisbane, Australia.
In this, my first year, I'm lucky enough to be teaching a class of Year 6/7 students. The kids and I have 'dabbled' with some web 2.0 stuff this year - in particular a very successful (imo) podcasting project that the kids have absolutely loved! We've also got a class wiki and a class blog where we host our podcasts. I am looking at extending the blogging project to get the kids doing more of their own blogging, but am currently trying to establish a safe and sustainable way to do this from school - considering the large number of blogging and web 2.0 solutions that are blocked within our school's network.
I draw HUGE inspiration from the edu_blogosphere and am excited at being a part of the K-12 Online Conference!
