Thanks for giving us a great opporutnity to particpate in a ground breaking idea!! Can you see a world where hundreds and thousands of these online conferences are taking place on a regular basis? It is almost mind boggling!! No, it IS mind boggling.
I am an educational technology trainer at the Region 2 Education Service Center in South Texas. We serve about 50 districts and charter schools. Many teachers in our region are still in the "techno babe" category but many others are beginning to see the power and potential of using tools that meaningful to their students. To my knowledge we only have a small handful of teachers using blogs but we think that is about to change. We are offering a workshop in the next couple of weeks on the topic of blogging in the classroom and it is starting to generate a buzz. Maybe after the experience of "attending" this online conference I will put our blogging workshop online following this model.
