There are no magic buttons on the Internet. Conducting deep and revealing research over the global network involves strategy, uncovering clues, and investigating a digital landscap. This entertaining and practical presentation will demonstrate a number of obscure tips for searching the Internet including an approach called S.E.A.R.C.H.

This presentation has expanded into the use of Web 2.0 technologies to find answers within ongoing conversations and to find people who can answer our questions. From these conversations, both casual and formal, new technologies enable us to literally train valuable information to find us.

I have been following your ideas for the last 4-5 years, as I was a doctoral student and became aware of your work with TED and other professional groups.
I have since completed my studies and am in the process of preparing a paper to reflect a collaborative approach to design a research project to ascertain or document the path to sustainability of instructional technology intervention and strategies in classrooms by a cluster of researchers in various communities or contexts. I am doing this work with a fellow researcher (we completed our doctoral studies at the same institution at the same time frame).
We are hoping to create a wiki-based research community with a common research design. This presentation’s title appears intriguing and useful for our work.
I appreciate any willingness on your part to share your expertise and perspective. Naturally, we would recognize your ideas in our roundtable and in the companion paper, to be published through AECT.
